What a fun day it was in Destin, Florida for Kelsey & Rick’s beautiful destination wedding! The weather was absolutely gorgeous, the beach was amazing, the water blue, and the joy shared between their families coming together was endless.
Kelsey and Rick are so much fun and complement each other so well. Working with these two, it was easy to see how much of a perfect match they truly are. From watching their excitement as they prepared for their big day to seeing them stealing kisses after the ceremony, it’s clear that their bond is unbreakable and we loved every second of getting to celebrate Kelsey, Rick, and little RJ.
Their day began with them getting ready by the beach with the boys hanging out and the girls giggling through hair and make-up. Around noon, everyone headed down the road to a beautiful church where the sun was shining through the windows juuuuust right. The ceremony was filled with love, joy, and happy tears as they were surrounded with their loved ones. After the ceremony, they stole away to the beach for some portraits and time alone after their wedding.
The evening ended with a super fun dolphin cruise at sunset complete with drinks and an epic playlist – essentially the coolest reception on water. Everyone sang and – quite literally – rocked the boat. Kelsey and Rick’s wedding at Miramar Beach was stunning and we are so happy we were able to be a part of it.
Side note: lately I’ve been obsessed with the enneagram test. Kelsey’s matron of honor’s speech talked about the enneagram and how Kelsey and Rick’s personality types are a perfect match.
I had the amazing opportunity to work with Kelsey’s sister, Konnor, two years ago for their destination wedding in Cancun, Mexico. I also documented family memories for her older sister and matron of honor, Kaitlyn, and senior portraits for her younger sister, Klaire. Being able to document these sisters’ journeys through life has been so much fun and such a blessing.
Here are some of their beautiful Destin wedding photos!
Rick and Kelsey – thank you for allowing me to capture your special day.
